Fun At Home Learning With Osmo!

In these trying times, it’s more important than ever to create a fun learning environment for our children. This is why I’m SO excited to be collaborating with Osmo on this post.

These items from Osmo were gifted to me, however all options are my own.

As most of you know, I have a very active and adventurous 6 year old son who loves learning through games and other non-traditional methods. Seriously- he is a math whiz and learned most of it from playing board games and keeping score during Pokémon card battles.

When the pandemic hit, I struggled with finding FUN ways to help him learn from home. He will be going into Grade 1 this Fall, and as a parent, the pressure to make sure he’s prepared is REAL.

Osmo is all about learning through play! All you need is a compatible device (you can find the list HERE), and the Osmo base to get started. From there, you can purchase all sorts of games and activities on the Osmo website that will help your child learn different skills while having FUN!

The Osmo app interacts with the physical game to create a fun and exciting learning experience!

Mason was gifted the Osmo base for his iPad, along with the Detective Agency game, and he is OBSESSED! I’m not exaggerating a bit when I say that he sat quietly and played this for almost 2 hours when we first unboxed it. The next morning he also begged me to play it, and again today. I am so excited to purchase more games for him to try!

The description from the website says, : “Travel to six famous cities, inspect hundreds of clues with your magnifying glass, and learn about geography and landmarks around the world!”

Detective Agency comes with a magnifying glass and several cardboard maps, along with a case to hold them. I was really impressed with the quality of everything we received! I loved sitting with him and watching him discover clues and learn about different places around the world.

The games all have a corresponding app that guides the children through different activities for their game. For Detective Agency, the app featured fun characters that guided Mason through finding different clues and locations on his map. When he found the clue he was looking for, he had to hold the magnifying glass over the clue, and the interactive app recognized the action, and continued on with the mystery.

I can not recommend Osmo enough! We have been having SO much fun with it, and he’s learning so much! It honestly feels like i’m effortlessly educating him, and I’m ALL for it!

I can’t wait to try more products from them! Let me know if you guys have any questions in the comments below!
